I have said before how often we like to go to Sea World. We have annual passes and it is only a 20 minute drive. Some trips stand out more than others (like my previous post about Macie's b-day).
In an effort to keep from going mad with the kids at home we set off for Sea World last Thursday and brought our neighbor Zack who had not been in years. It is always fun to see the place through fresh eyes. We love to share all of the tricks we have found with others. First you MUST go Platinum! It always makes for a five star trip with front of the line privileges, special seating, and discounts. Zack was impressed when we got right into the new 4-D show while a huge HOT crowd watched.
This was a special trip for us as well because Sea World had opened up the new kids area with new rides......
and our FAVORITE show Cirque De La Mer was back....
But the best part of the day was when we lucked out and happen to get to the Dolphin pools at play time. The Dolphins were playing with different balls, tossing them around. We were just watching when a dolphin playing with a football swam right up and threw the ball to Zack!
Of course I was snapping pictures at the time and was lucky enough to catch it. I guess that dolphin really liked playing with us because he came back over and over tossing the ball and the kids took turns catching and throwing it back.
Even Macie caught it one time. I was so proud of Kenz because a little boy near us was sad that the dolphin had not thrown it his way and she picked up on that and gave up her turn so that he could throw it back.
This went on for about 45 minutes until it was feeding time again. What an amazing experience.
To top it off Zack said to me at the end of the day that it was one of the best days of his life, how sweet is that?!
So when we got home I took all of my photos from the day and made an IMOVIE for him. The next day we spent the afternoon decorating the DVD cases. (another way to keep em busy right)
