What a complete summer day in San Diego. A blanket on the grass at the Cricket Wireless Amphatheatre, my family, John Mayer guitar solos, the faint smell of burgers and weed, it will be my favorite memory of the summer of 08!
Forget the world for a couple of hours and enjoy the luxury of the moment, no problem. It was a perfect evening. The opening act Brett Dennon was FANTASTIC, totally set the mood for the evening. I am so downloading the album. He reminds me of Tom Petty.
The girls went crazy for Colbie Caillat.

Check out Macie playing the little green monster during Bubbly.
This was Kenzie's favorite of hers.
Mackenzie and I were in the ladies room when John took the stage. All of the sudden the bathroom is flooded in screams! At first it startled Kenz then she got excited and we ran back to our spot.
Macie only lasted about 4 or 5 songs before she passed out! But she enjoyed experiencing her FIRST concert!
John was in great mood I have yet to see him dance like he did last night!
Ok that was before the show but there was plenty of the same through out the show. You could feel the happy coming from him.
We were feeling it!
Even from the cheap seats we had a great view. (Excuse my commentary in this one)
It became off the hook when he dropped the guitar on the floor and rocked it!
He was full of these fly solos all night!
Brandon's favorite was John's cover of Tom Petty's Free Fallen. I saw him play this last November at the Nokia Show so I was super excited that he got to see it live as well.
I have tons more shaky video with us singing but there is enough of those on the World Wide Web so Ill spare the web space. I just had to share the highlights! Can't wait to experience it again next summer.
