Wii Birthday Party Invitations and Doorprizes

It's Kenze's 11th birthday already! I love to go all out for the girls birthdays and it has gotten harder every year that Mackenzie gets older. After much discussion we came up with a Wii party idea. I did some googling and found some Wii people on evite.com and made these invitations.

Then I found this template for a Wii remote replica. So I made these custom goodie boxes filled with candy!

I printed the pdf and then scanned it into a jpeg and then sent it to costco and had them print 15 8x10 lustre prints. This way they are made from a thick, durable, glossy finished paper. They turned out beautiful abd I love em, totally unique.

I also created these t.v.'s from a Keepsake Card Craft Embossing Board. At the party we will take a pic of each guest with kenz, print it, and stick it in the t.v. frame with a thank you note on the back. This way each kid goes home with a little momento to put on their desk or shelf, my thank you's are done, and I think they are way better than a bag of junk toys specially at this age. 

We ordered a Wii remote cake from Flour Power that I am excited about ( Ill have to post a pic) and I think we will order pizza and put up some grey and white balloons and we are ready to party!

VictorVille Cayote Classic

Last weekend we left for our  first tournament with Mackenzie's traveling team. We drove a few hours to VictorVille  which is of course the high desert but actually really pretty at this time of year. I love that it is flat desert surrounded by snow toped mountains. Love this pick of Kenz on the field with that gorgeous back drop.

We spent the day hangin out at the jumpy's in between games. The girls got their fill of funnel cake and snow cones while spending hours going up and down the huge slides.

Being there on such a nice day surrounded by families enjoying each other and supporting their kids I had an overwhelming sense of thankfulness. I am so thankful to live in this country and have the opportunities that we have. I am thankful that there are so many good, friendly, giving people in our world.

So in the evening after the games where done some of the families from our team who were staying at the same hotel got together to let the kids have some fun in the indoor heated pool. The girls loved it. 

It was a non stop fun weekend.

CHA Teresa Collins

If you love the Bind-it-All you are sure to be excited about Teresa Collins new line of Chipboard covers, drop in pages, and custom papers!

For the love of binding she has come up with a new line of large 9x9 Bracket Shaped Covers.

As well as large 7x13 Tab File Covers.

We got to play with a set at their make-n-take. 

I love the drop in pre-punched pages! No more naked pages.

We used the fab new Family Matters and Documented papers.

She also has some unique cling mounted stamps like this Fleur De Lis.

 

We still love her 4x4 and ring projects.

CHA Heidi Swapp

 

brings it again with her new line called Invisibles and Mega Masks.

The Mega Masks are genius for layering. 

The line consists of 4 theme sheets brackets, hearts, circles, and stars.

All are 12x12.

We had a chance to watch this demo being tapped where she combines the XL masks and Invisibles. How does she come up with this stuff?!

The Invisibles line consists of papers, chipboard shapes, chipboard sheets, and stickers.

Over all I think she kept simple but inspiring!

CHA Maya Road

The most inspiring booth at CHA was Maya Road. (Check out Mom and Fern shopping their booth on the Maya Blog!)

Packed with Mini book goodness and hot new products they brought the FAB!

Like the new Maya Mist. Which is a dye glimmer spray. 

These sprays are very rich in color so much so they only require one spray to cover chipboard!

We enjoyed playing with the Maya Mists to make this little tag.

Isn't that color amazing?

We also did another little make-n-take project. I shouldn't say little because they generously let us play with one of their new mini book chipboard binders, papers and stamps!

Our favorite new products were the clear stamp SETS, ya you get em all.

Love their lace chipboard layered book!

How unique are their Sheers?

I put together a montage buffet of their amazing samples for ya.

CHA Provo Craft

At the Provo Craft booth they were getting high tech with their new machines. 

It's all about the YOUDU! A personal screening machine.

We tried it and it was soooo simple. I love the sparkling ink you can purchase.

They have also released some new Cricut cartridges.

We worked with the new Hannah Montana (in my Oprah voice) ones.

This is actually LYDIA'S chipboard purse. She rocked it! The cardstock it Black Magic and she placed a Tattered Angels flourish Glimmer Chip behind it and sanded to get that great look. I made one for Kenz and she made one for Macie so her heart was in it and that brought out her natural creativity. Of course we put these together back at the hotel because we ran out of time at the booth.

They also have SpongeBob cartridges!

CHA Sakura

Sakura is well known in the carfting world for their gelly roller pens. Remember those, they were probably the first scrapbook tool you purchased. Now Sakura has come up with all kinds of fancy gelly pens like their new SOUFFLE. These are one of a kind pens that leave a raise 3D opaque matte pastel finish.

We worked with one of Sakura's designers to customize some adorable Yo-Yo's using the Souffle pens and Sticklers.

We just placed a Stickler shape onto the slick surface and colored it in. The Souffle ink spread and filled in the lines with dimension. So impressive!

You could use these on any slick surface like acrylic, vellum, or transparency.

They are great for filling in an image stamped on transparency.

CHA Tombow

As you must know by now Tombow Mono Permanent is my FAVORITE adhesive. I go through about 2 a week! This is THE ONLY adhesive I have found to be truly transparent. It also has a strong stick but is forgiving when first applied. I use this adhesive for acrylic, chipboard, paper, and photos.

Now not only is Tombow my favorite adhesive but they are my favorite company!

Tombow is a big company who not only sells to small scrapbook stores but also the big chains and office supply stores but that did not stop them from putting on a FANTASTIC booth at CHA for everyone. I found them to be the nicest people! Jennifer was so fun to talk to about the new products and how I use them. On top of that they hooked us up with darling totes with the new booth theme....

as well as threw a first class party with a full bar at their booth! They really know how to wine and dine a girl.

They also had some great demonstrators sharing the new products with us.

We did a little tag set using the Mono Permanent

and the *NEW* Glue Pen that is so smooth, no clogging, is clear, and is strong enough to hold glitter or flock!

We used the *NEW* Vellum adhesive for the transparency and it does exactly what its supposed to.

Just FYI my other favorites from Tombow are their liquid glue and the larger Permanent roller.

Also all of their runners are REFILLABLE! Love that. Go Tombow!
